The video brings you into the dark world of the deep sea that clings on to every light source available.
The look is reminiscienct of the biolumincescent microbes, which are also popular organisms to be patented. The lights visually accompany the monologue that narrates the story of how I, as a non scientist, first got into this topic that will be my thesis topic.

The audience is introduced it singularly by the headphones that amplify the feeling of inner monologue narrated in a dark underwater space.

How did the purerfish become one of the key figures of genetical research? Why do 18 companies own 532 patents on this fish? Why do companies seek for new genes in the deep waters of the ocean? All of these questions make up a part of my research for my thesis. In this video installation, I introduce my findings as a monologue that as visually accompanies by a projection that visualises the content in the style of bioluminescent bacterial, an organism that are a popular source of genetical patents.
