Powerplant: A speculative service
powerplant
powerplant is a speculative service design that aims to reconnect men to nature again, by incorporating the senses and re-establishing the intimacy between living organisms through technology. Our values consist of sustainability, transparency and community. Powerplant Is designed to be respectful and balance the earth around it, both flora and fauna.
about
It’s about creating empathy for nature, a symbolic relationship we don’t really realize. We want to give it more value, that apart from oxygen, they mean way more for you. Just like people nowadays have developed this dependable relationship with Wi-Fi, giving this function to plants, makes it so that nature is not taken for granted.

user interaction
An app is used to track your progress and the health of the garden. You see your work; you obtain the feeling of achievement and help both yourself and the life you care for. A true connection is made. More greenery influences public space and affects surroundings.
App designed to facilitate the entire process of keeping progress of the gardens.
tangible output
Our seed packaging is fully biodegradable, and we maintain a zero-waste initiative. Powerplants are also registered to make sure that everything will be held accountable and proper action can be taken to preserve the environment if necessary
Ideation done for the tangible product that would accompany the service.
Experiments were done with local seeds and locally found dried plant waste to create seed packaging that was completely sustainable. Furthermore, the form of the packaging was explored to make it more appealing.
commercial structure
