Out of all of the Marvel Phase 4 movies, I feel most excited for the new Blade movie. Blade is the first comic book movie that brought me into true appreciation for comics receiving a movie adaptation. Yes, there were comic movies before Blade. I watched a lot of Batman movies when I was a kid. But at that time, comics wasn't a thing for me, and a Batman movie was more about the movie itself than the fact that Batman was a comic character. When I first saw Blade, I dove into Marvel for more stories. Blade made me recognize Marvel as an interesting company with compelling titles I would love to read.

This project is inspired from that memory. I begin with sketchwork using Sketchable App on my Surface Pro 6.
Feeling satisfied with my decisions, I move the project to Clip Studio Paint to clean my lines taking advantage of their pen tool.
I decided that turning Marhershala's head would achieve more likeness. I felt the head turn was a success and continued forward.
After giving it some thought, I felt the original background was too dark and dulled the impact of the artwork. I decided to go with a lighter theme to fix this, and to stretch the logo across the top of the project to make it look more uniform.
