The Common Place: Brand Development

This is a branding project done for a student organization, The Common Place. Creatively directed by myself and developed with the help of the student, we worked together to create a visual identity that promoted what they wanted their organization to reflect the most: a safe, welcoming community for everyone despite apparent or hidden shared characteristics. 

The Common Place's main symbol is a Venn Diagram which is a visual reminder that no matter what, we always have something in common with somebody else. 

The use of a curved line to represent the letter "M" in "Common" speaks to the fun nature of a student program, as well as subtly pointing towards the parent organization, Anchor Christian Church.
