I was asked to design a wedding Invitation. I wanted to make something elegant and clean. The idea was that they are two individuals that through the Wedding, the text in the middle, they become one. Through the wedding they will become one. The typography point towards the centre of the invitation, the meeting point.
A quite simple concept, but it did fit well both conceptually and visually.
The made the most important information, where/when, red, so it would be easier for the reader to quickly find and double check any information.
I played around with Didot Regular, and ended up with this emblem/logo of their names.
Why Didot? Because it's /&%$ fancy looking, and the great contrast of Didot makes it interesting to play with the positive and negative room.
