In reaction to the hours upon hours of driving, the cities along the way, and the repetition of it all, The Road I Know showcases how over the course of a semester and seven or eight trips later, a small stretch of highway between Las Cruces, NM and Tucson AZ, grew upon me. 

 

While some are more detailed than others, each city was meticulously hand drawn, then digitally traced and screen printed. The process, to me, speaks to the semi-meditative state I fell into while driving and represents the repetitive nature of the journey.
