The Happiest Fox
Low poly illustration
This illustration was inspired by Juniper Foxx, who is a rescued & domesticated fox that is a bit famous on the interwebs. She is snarky, sassy and moody. Though foxes have always been intriguing, finding Juniper on Instagram and seeing what weird, goofy animals foxes truly are really opened my eyes to the world of these odd little creatures. Juniper lives in a loving sanctuary with other foxes (Fig and Elmwood), as well as dogs, chinchillas, flying squirrels, opossums, snakes, geckos, and so much more. Every post on Instagram is a highlight in my day, and these posts are not only extremely informative regarding the care and time it takes to foster rescued animals, but is wonderfully inspiring that there are people out there that truly care for the welfare of our fellow furry (and scaled) beings on this planet. Being a strong supporter of a cruelty-free world, I am happy to produce art and design showcasing such a character that glows so brightly in our habitat.
Details
This image consists of 10,372 vector objects: 4,404 to create the fox, 1,342 in the text, and 4,626 in the background. This adds up to 31,101 paths, equaling 19,271.743 inches, 1,606 feet, or 1/3 of mile.

Insanely, all objects in the fox and text were created by hand, and about half of the background as well. However, each single object was eyedropped individually, all 10,372 of them. This image took approximately 50 hours to complete, give or take a few. In all the of the Illustrator projects I started over the summer/year, this is the first one I have actually finished, and it was a ridiculous project to take on in the first place, bu t I am happy with the outcome and proud of myself for following through.
