Typography
Interiors is a 3 dimensional type experiment in a large scale, the x heights is the height of an end table, coffee table or the seat of a dining chair.  I created the letter forms first with 3 dimensional renderings and then built them using mild carbon steel and a mig welder. Every letter was constructed in full furniture size scale. When exhibited I let the letters stand as they would if you were trying to use them as furniture in your home. Many of the letters worked well as dual purpose pieces such as the a,b,c,d,e,h,m,n,o,s,t,u,v,w,x & z. The other letter forms are less functional as furniture. This project has been featured in, AIGA 365 year in review book & NY exhibition, Print Magazine & Dwell Magazine.
