Awareness Campaign for Conserving 24 Festive Drums

“The Pride of Malaysia” was chosen as the tagline of the campaign because it is straightforward and able to direct the message of 24 Festive Drums is a performing art that all Malaysians should proud of.

Black background was applied in the poster to make the red brush stroke and other elements to pop out from the design. Chinese calligraphy typeface was used in posters and titles because Chinese calligraphy is the soul of 24 Festive Drums. Besides, batik with floral motif was used in design to blend in the concept of local cultural heritage.  “鼓乐是节庆的声音,鼓是传统的脉搏” a saying by Mr. Tan Chai Puan during a TEDx event with the meaning of drum beats are the sound of festive, drums are the pulse of tradition was used as a slogan in the following posters.

History and information about 24 Festive Drums and background of the founders were included into the brochure for further reading for public. 24 solar terms in respective seasons with the meaning of each of the solar terms were also included in the brochure as people are not familiar with 24 solar terms.
Mini Brochure about the Structure of the Drum
Mini brochure with expanded view of the drum was created to let people know the structure of the drum in a creative way.
Other Supporting Items: Calendar
The calendar is different from the others where there are solar terms included in the calendar. Users are able to know when is the day of the seasons and climate change.

Visitors who visited the campaign booth have the chance to beat along with the notes.
