ADULT FICTION COVER- NORWEGIAN WOOD
For the Penguin Random House student design award we were to create a book cover for the fiction book Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami.
The cover should reflect the tone of the book: vivid, dazzling, experimental and imaginative appealing to contemporary, enquiring and literary readership.
As the book will have to stand out against many books in busy shelves, originality is the key. The challenge was to design a new cover for a new generation of readers, avoiding the obvious clichés.
