Korifej Festival 5

Basis of visual identity for 5th Korifej Festival was a monument to the fallen soldiers, dedicated to victims of fascist terror, located at the main square of Kolasin. It is work by famous Yugoslavian sculptor, Vojin Bakic. This was only one of the aspects of whole visual identity, which was more conceptual, and hybrid, through the equal use of illustration and photography, combined with vibrant color palette.
Short introduction to the festival itself was presented through short GIF forms, such as the one above, used as a cover image on the official Facebook page of the festival.
First day of the festival was a chance to incorporate existing visuals into illustrated poster: sort of an allegory of ''nomadic'' theater, as well as a ''homage'' to the partisan monument. It also represents diversity of the festival program, which included plays, performances and concerts.
Official schedule of 5th ''Korifej'' festival had simple, calendar-like structure, used both in digital and printed media (flyers, posters).
Call for volunteers was also a chance to play around with the existing visual elements. Photo that was used here is actually from Kolasin: that way, poster served not only as a unusual call for volunteers, but also as a sort of silent homage to the stray dogs of Kolasin.
Workshops that were organized during the festival were also a special category that deserved a bit different posters. I've decided to illustrate these as well, with a slight change in color palette.
Shown are some of the individual posters for various events: plays, performances, projections. System, or some sort of visual standard, offered different ways of playing around with type and imagery. Posters used existing elements, such as photos from previous performances, or even existing official posters.
And don't forget to check out the latest work at: Facebook or Instagram. Cheers!
