Maša’s Imaginarium acts as a personal archive (atlas) of captured and collected photographs.
that take a form of a photographic installation constructed of interconnected diptychs, triptychs,
single images and textual interventions. Images taken at different times and in different places
become a part of an associative mental collage put together through rigorous editing process.
They are documents of the mundane as well as records of private memory, balancing between
the inner (personal) and the outer space, thus escaping obvious interpretations. The process of
collecting and capturing was done with mobile phones as well as professional cameras; by scanning
and appropriating. Images are constructed or stumbled upon; seemingly documentary, a little
whimsical; not completely real nor absolutelysurreal. They come and go: some temporarily inviting, others forever intertwined or excluded from the archive. Imaginarium is a place of transition, detached from objective reality and real space and time coordinates. Always hovering between the documentry and imaginary, interpretation is completely left to the viewers' thoughts and imagination.
