National Parks Vol. 1
Last year I went on a solo 7,200-mile road trip to various national parks around the western United States. It was an adventure that took me from steaming geyser basins to rugged badlands, from otherworldly deserts to petrified forests, from thunderous canyons to slot canyons, from sheer cliffs to top-secret military installations. All while driving through intense storms of the southwest monsoon season.
In many parks I stayed up late into the summer nights to photograph the sun setting over the stunning landscapes, and then woke in the very early hours of the mornings to capture the summer sunrises. As is so often the case, I feel that the camera just can't capture the totality of the grandeur of these beautiful places.
This gallery is a collection of images from that trip as well as a few from previous travels. I plan to do another trip to more national parks this September.
