A major event to be held at the JFK Library in Boston forced some hard thinking about how assure that guests knew they were at a Facing History event despite the fact that they were in a striking space with no direct connection to the organization. The venue’s dramatic architecture and vaulted ceilings required me to think large scale and vertical. I designed this modular pyramid with an eye toward it having a lifespan beyond this event, and the fact that it could be used in smaller groupings or as one large sculpture put it in high demand for important events across the organization’s 9 offices.
