This was my first attempt at using chalk and charcoal for a life drawing piece. I used black paper and rubbed chalk all over before going in with chalk to outline the figure. I highlighted where light was hitting and missing through the use of chalk and charcoal for shading.
I was incredibly happy with this piece and was my favourite so far, however am aware I need to focus on facial features and hands/feet in the future. For this piece however I just wanted to focus on the body and all its curves and details. I will continue to do portraits of faces separately to work on my skills for facial features.
