I was commissioned to do an illustration for the new Croatian olive oil brand that was developed especially for the Istrian "San Canzian Village & Hotel" brand.
Sketches, concept exploration
Mainly inspired by the rural architecture of the Istrian countryside itself, I also found out that
San Canzian is a place in Italy whose name refers to several Christian martyrs (Cantius, Cantianus and Cantianllia), who are said to have been beheaded there in 304 AD.
All of that came together in the final version.
