Editorial 200 x 260 mm university project Proposal for Opinel’s catalogue redesign, developed during a workshop held by graphic designer Artemio Croatto at the IUAV university. The legendary Opinel is a wooden-handled pocket-knife invented by Joseph Opinel in 1890 and manufactured in the Savoye department of France since then. The booklet explores the original Opinel series of pocket-knives numbered 1 to 12, as they were produced from 1897 in twelve sizes. Every size is approached through an iconic personification of the Opinel spirit, belonging to the imaginary of self-expression, discovery and craft. The concept concerns the emotional relationship between the user and the object, focusing on the way it contributed to develop the collective imagination into which it resides. togheter with Ivo Arzenton Read Less
