The Lensbaby Velvet 56, my first venture into the realm of what I consider to be 'artistic' glass. This lens surprised me quite a bit and showed a lot more versatility than what most reviews on the internet showcased. I don't know why but there is an overuse of the wider aperture shots floating around where the velvet softness is extreme. There's a lot more going on here and when stopped down at around f4-5.6 (the sweet spot) you get a wicked combination of sharpness plus velvet softness.
I quite often aperture stack shots with this lens, I find it works fantastically for food photography.
