On The Tip Of My Tongue is an experimental interface aimed at exploring the future of book and editorial design. The idea is a self-programmed tool, which breaks the traditional rules of editorial design and offers different and new ways of designing. This program uses semi-generative code and a font with variable parameters. The texts were written by Iain Bamforth (www.iainbamforth.com) and are displayed randomly. The user can save each page as a pdf and use the blue and red marks to cut and bind the pages.
The sliders above allow the reader to affect the style of his typography, from simple, readable letter shapes to abstract hieroglyphs.
