[EN] A total redesign of the Sheliak Colony Ship, from the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "The Ensigns of Command." For design references, I used the original's basic shapes, and the visuals of the bridge and of the Sheliak themselves.

I wanted it to look as alien as its occupants, the Sheliak, while still having some recognizable components found in most Star Trek ships, such as warp nacelles
Here is the original, a redress of the 'Merchantman' prop. While imposing, I always found its look too "Earthling" and familiar for a species so strange as the Sheliak. That inspired me to make this redesign.
The glowing tubes in the ship's bridge, and the triangle pattern on the Sheliak director's skin/suit, inspired many elements of my final design for the colony ship
