Task was to design a pom pom that had a floral image in it. I created various sizes and color ways for the project.
Templates were created once design was correct showing both the top down view of what will be mirrored and each layer of wrapped yarn as you follow the written directions.
A video tutorial was then filmed by the content coordinator where I show how to create the pom poms.

Flower with Stem:
1. Start with flower center: Open one half of the pom-pom maker and wrap a small section of
color you would like in center of flower slightly off center.
2. Build flower: Choose 2-3 colors and wrap each color a little wider than the previous layer.
3. Take the stem color and wrap 1-2 layers of yarn around the pom-pom maker to the right of the flower.
4. Wrap a thin layer of background color over the stem area then add a small section of green for leaves.
6. Fill rest of pom-pom half with background color, covering all other sections. Close the half.
7. Open second half of pom-pom maker and fill with background color. Close maker and cut up the channel. Tie a piece of background yarn around maker to secure pom-pom. Remove from maker and trim to desired shape.
Flower with Leaves:
1. Start with flower center: Open one half of the pom-pom maker and wrap a small section of color you would like in center of flower slightly off center.

3. Wrap the leaf color in a smaller section, centered over the flower color, building up the middle to form a triangular shape.
4. Fill rest of half with background color, covering all other yarn. Close the half.
5. Open second half of pom-pom maker and fill with background color, close the half. Cut up the channel and tie a piece of background yarn around maker to secure pom-pom. Remove from maker and trim to desired shape.
