From Paper to Metal.
Oliver Cycling is a single speed range of bicycles created for effortless and enjoyable ride everywhere.
The objective of the project was to develop a simple but clear branding which doesn't overwhelm the features of the frame. In some cases, the branding on the frame can be distracting and overused. Our range consists of five core variants with branding that compliments the colour scheme of each bike. Yellow, white and black frames are classics, the green frame incorporates retro vibes with classic leather seat and handlebars, both non-animal and sustainably made. The branding for the accessories, the sports bottle and the bike sock, carries the same simplicity and can be mixed and matched according to customer's choice.
A serious business.

Each variant has a technical sheet with the list of components and colour specifications.
It must be accurate to eliminate any mistakes during the production process.
Ready for a Ride?

The time for a Photoshoot came after the first shipment arrived. Each frame was photographed from different angles to give the customer a good view of the bike.
Each Product Needs to Have a Platform.

With bikes ready for the road, we needed to make a site that would invite the cyclist enthusiasts.
The plan was to create a simple and easy to use website. One of the first things was to design the graphics and banners to promote the range.
A Little Bit of Fun.

For someone who enjoys sketching, I suggested to utilize some hand drawn vectors on social media platforms. For this set of drawings, I used 'Oliver' concept on different frames. The future plan for the bikes is to expand the range from single speed to race and custom bicycles.
And We Grow.

With a successful launch, the expansion of the range can begin! Our existing frames have been broadened to contain three more groups: Commute, Gravel and Custom. Each of the bikes would have an additional set of components which can be added onto the frame to accommodate the rider's needs. For example, the 'Gravel' bike would have sturdier tyres and mudguards, whereas the 'Custom' bike would use a lighter frame and
a multi-gear set ready for racing.
A Solid Learning Curve.

The project was exceptionally enjoyable and productive. As a designer, I got to use my skills and saw the entire process from its conception to its finish. Starting with initial drawings of the frames, then applying the branding, colour scheme variants and seeing the finished product was very satisfying. The importance of marketing, website and application of social media, clearly outlined the process of a successful campaign and expanded my experience as a designer. Of course, the work continues. A regular update of the site, the social media promotions is an ongoinendeavour, it's crucial to incorporate new ideas to keep the product fresh and attractive.
