A dapper and bold new identity for Marketscape A/S

This is MarketScapes old logo.
Visual Identity
Marketscape came to me with a request for a new logo, look and feel for the company. They wanted to be more 'up to date' and wanted the identity to reflect their somewhat 'sassy' coorporate charisma.

In close corporation with the CEO and COO, I succeeded in creating a new and bold logo for MarketScape thus we where both happy with the participatory approach and result.
Icon design for business cards
The client requested a new and more modern approach to the pyramid icon. After a thorough sketching and research phase, I ended up transforming the pyramid into a simple M (Marketscape) while still illustrating the pyramid shape. I found it to be more a more clever and modern look for the company.
I like how the colors invites viewers to 'dive into the blue shape', and almost get lost in the new 'MarketScape blue'. Like a dip in the ocean – how is that for a sales pitch?
In the end, the client was not ready to get rid of the old pyramid – unfortunately. Therefore, we decided to freshen the old one and give it a more modern and bold logotype to accompany the icon, which was also adjusted.
What is your initial thoughts about this project? Your opinion would be much appreciated. In advance, thank you! Nicklas
