COLD AS NEON
When I watched various kinds of creativity, sometimes I caught myself thinking: "And yet someone does it all ... Even if all this is nobody watches ... But every creativity has its own creation history!" And not so long ago, I myself realized that. The motivation for my creation is that if I do not create it, then this will not happen anywhere else ... This thought also forces me to do.
Seeing the project Antonia Corduneanu, I was so inspired that I decided to make my project. Gradients of various colors prompted me to try experimenting, thereby complementing my own style, and doing it the way I see it. Each color in the gradient and their combination was created by me personally.

How often have you come across color effects? Influence on emotions, influence on choice, influence on thoughts ... I think that this happened all the time. So constantly that he stopped being aware that, every time, the color carries more than just electromagnetic waves in the visible, for a person, spectrum.
At the moment there is a sufficient amount of literature on the topic of color. Starting from the art of color, to the effect of color on human behavior. For example, marketers are actively using this, creating bright colors on packages, despite the fact that each color plays its own special role. Natural products, or goods with natural products, will have a predominantly “green color” on the packaging - to some extent a sign of purity, tranquility, a symbol of nature. Unwittingly, a person at a subconscious level will be predisposed to choose this product, in contrast to the similar product of black, or a different color on the package. Yes, it is not always the person who chooses exactly this principle, but the influence of color on the choice and behavior is much more studied for the average person. Not only packaging: bright advertising, decoration of public places, shops, magazines, newspapers. All in order to product, service, place, were able to choose first. The effect of color on this is not limited. Each person has his own favorite color, they are guided by him when choosing a product, clothes (personal wardrobe, or fashion), interior elements, cars, and the lighting itself comes as a source of light. From "knick-knacks" to serious things, or the most ordinary ones. That is, it is more pleasant for a person to use a thing, to enjoy not only the functionality, but also the color. What can we say, even money has different colors, depending on the type of currency of the country, or denomination.

The use of color is not limited to this. Art objects also use color as an influence tool. True, this influence is meant to convey emotions from the creator to the public. Along with this, it is possible to obtain aesthetic pleasure from studying, viewing works of art.

For example, there is a whole trend in art - Suprematism.

Suprematism (from the Latin. Supremus - the highest) - direction in avant-garde art, founded in the 1st half of 1910-ies Kazimir Malevich.
Being a type of abstractionism, Suprematism was expressed in combinations of multi-colored planes of the simplest geometric outlines (in geometric forms of a straight line, a square, a circle, and a rectangle). The combination of multi-colored and different-sized geometric figures forms balanced asymmetrical suprematic compositions permeated with internal movement.
At the initial stage, this term, going back to the Latin root supremus, meant dominance, the superiority of color over all other properties of painting. In colorless canvases, paint, according to KS Malevich, was for the first time freed from a subsidiary role, from serving other purposes — Suprematist paintings became the first step of “pure creativity,” that is, an act that equalized the creative power of man and Nature.

All this direction shows us that color is in itself an independent source of information. Everyone knows one of the most famous paintings of Black Square by K.S. Malevich, where only black color exists. To some extent even absurd, incomprehensible, but fraught with many mysteries. About her often mention in the case of the absurdity of art. There are many jokes playing around this work, but in spite of this, the interest in the picture does not decrease. So KS Malevich clearly showed the true power of color, causing interest, a manifestation of emotion, and not only this picture. And not only he, there are a sufficient number of artists demonstrating this.
In general, all artists, one way or another, use colors of certain colors and shades.

It happens so that when a wave of a certain length reaches the retina, the brain determines the color later, and more information becomes available about the surrounding world. When a person is cold, the skin begins to turn blue. When a person is hot - it becomes red. So the brain, and the body itself, makes it clear that in front of him. Red color perfectly demonstrates the "danger": fire, brake light at a traffic light or in a car; in nature, insects use it against the attack of predators. All this works unconsciously and imperceptibly in the ordinary life of a person. In alternative medicine, there is such a direction as
Chromotherapy.
The truth is not entirely proven, but it still exists.

In general, there is an enormous amount of information about the topic of color, and it cannot fit all into one book. Rather, this information - the whole volume, if we take the entire volume of this topic...

It was a retreat. But it directly relates to my project - "COLD AS NEON".
Once, on the Internet, I read the information that a person gets pleasure, from viewing, from the color combination of certain colors. That is, color combinations cause the release of pleasure hormones, such as dopamine, serotonin, endorphin.
(Honestly, I could not re-find information on this topic for confirmation)

There is a literature on the combination of colors and shades, and in computer programs for graphics there is a palette that shows the "adjacent color", thereby giving the optimum combination of color and shades. This gives some evidence on the topic "release of hormones from the color combination."

Every time I look through images, various projects of designers or artists and illustrators, I have a conviction about this information
I always liked abstraction, avant-garde, cubism, suprematism. I really enjoy watching it. Both various forms, and various colors, and how these colors are combined with each other. Having started my activities in the field of graphic design, I did not give such a special priority to color as it is now. In order to create a picture or image in a computer, you need to decide what will be shown there. What will this work bear, what sense, what feelings.

Each element or detail in the image is shaped. If you draw a tomato, then it should be round, drawing a cucumber - oval. That is, it is quite difficult to manage without form in drawing. But the abstraction itself captured me. It doesn’t matter whether it exists in the real world or not, the main thing is that it can exist in the image. After some time, with experience in digital art, I began to understand that I like to do not only amorphous, abstract and incomprehensible, sometimes seemingly infinite forms, but also various colored gradients. At the very beginning of my activity in such gradients there were not so many colors, I made them blackout to create volume on objects, or to make them appear not just in two-dimensional space, just to create depth on the image. Later he began experimenting with two different colors.

I try to achieve the maximum combination of colors. This combination, in which I start to have fun. Where the color transition itself, and objects - become fascinating.
So fascinated by this style, I began to like to do so that there was a feeling of "unreality". Only this “unreality” that begins to manifest itself in reality, but rather on the screen.

Something similar to optical illusions, or viewing stereo images (movies or video with a 3D effect), and I like that a lot too. In stereo images and movies, video, this effect occurs due to the overlap of the same frame twice, sometimes each frame has a different color, usually blue and red. And if you wear special glasses, where the glass is red on one eye, and on the other is blue, then there is the effect of depth - 3D. Today there are TVs with such a function, which have glasses in the set, where this effect is realized by frequent dimming of glasses. There are also stereoscopic images where the object hidden in the meaningless drawing can only be seen by defocusing the eyesight, when the picture is divided into two due to binocular vision, and the image in each eye overlaps each other.

Without realizing it, I began to try to make it so that not only the form, but also the color influenced — that is, I tried to combine the “unreality” of color and the “unreality” of form. This helped me to work with shadows and transparency of objects.

When viewing or creating images, sometimes there is a feeling that "the eye breaks" or "the brain breaks".
"COLD AS NEON" was invented spontaneously, but I immediately realized that this is exactly the meaning of the whole project.

Not only does neon have a melting point of −248.6 ° C, but the neon lamp itself heats up at about 50 ° C, which is a relatively “cold” light source.

Oxide, oxidized, crystalline - this is how color combinations can be described. If you decompose each gradient into colors, some of them are as bright as those of neon light sources.

Similar colors occur in oxide films, or when interference and dispersion of light occur. For example: oxide film on metals, soap bubbles, rainbow, spilled gasoline on asphalt, refraction of light in faceted crystals, when you click on the liquid crystal screen.

Who did not admire the multi-colored soap bubbles, a rainbow in the sky, or stones on jewelry? The eye itself is attracted, and it is very difficult to tear it away from the object. Admiration appears, involuntarily you begin to admire how the light begins to play with different colors. I myself have not once admired, froze in place and looked ... Just watched and enjoyed.

The metal itself or the crystal without special heating, if touched, will be sufficiently cold relative to the environment. This is because they do not have a high specific heat capacity. Even so, the color can be called "cold."

My project is not about neon. The color of light itself, which comes from a neon lamp, although it is bright, but it seems that it feels like it is really cold. I conveyed all this in this project.
I tried to try for myself how interesting it can turn out if you mix together simple or shapeless shapes, and gradients of such colors.
My idea was to conclude everything in one project with a single thought, to show how art can look like, what images can be, to do what I like, thereby bringing pleasure to the viewer when watching. Deliver pleasure!
I hope that I did it ...
...
Thank you for viewing this project! I showed not only my creativity, but also told my thoughts, my personal history.
I will be glad if he caused you some emotions, pleasure and enjoyment!
