Barloworld Transport's Annual Smart Trucker Awards recognises and rewards the outstanding work of individuals who consistently go the extra mile to create exceptional value for their clients’ businesses as well as for Barloworld itself. It is an opportunity to not only reward the outstanding work of employees but also encourage and promote the organisation's employee value proposition (EVP) amongst staff members. An informative internal marketing campaign was required to create awareness, explain the mechanics and generate excitement about the upcoming awards. The visual concept, inspired by the style of superhero movie posters and comic books, was rolled out internally through print and electronic media to encourage employees to vote for the individual they believe excelled in any one of three specified categories - focus, innovation and leadership. A gala dinner was held for all the finalists and to announce the overall winner.
