“Wiiv is Quicksilver for the cloud. I can search my email and my docs at the same time, with beautiful results and without leaving a single browser tab. A fiendishly slick service for the social web.”

Wiiv in action.
I carried out all brand strategy and development work, including naming, logo and visual identity design and copywriting.
I hit upon a simple metaphor to describe the benefits of Wiiv relative to competitive services: we enable you to escape the constraints of filing cabinets and spread your files out on a "magic wall" where you can see them all, then quickly filter them down to find just what you're looking for.

"Jack and the filing cabinets" brings that metaphor to life in the context of a short story (which I wrote).
Wiiv's unique, zoomable visual file browser allows the user to find files from across their email, Dropbox and Google Drive in moments.
Wiiv's list view retains a strong visual aspect with its contextual zoom feature.
Key metadata and actions (filter, view original file or email, share file links etc) are a rollover/tap away.
Type-ahead, multi-faceted search suggestions provide multiple routes to the same information.

Wiiv's unique folder browsing feature enables the user to see all the files nested within high-level folders in a single view without having to open up sub-folders — thereby saving significant time and effort.
Wiiv's share via email feature radically simplifies emailing file previews and links in comparison to the experience in email, Dropbox or Google Drive.
The design process was driven by diverse customer development activities, including face to face interviews (transcript is pictured), market research in the field and site visits to target customer organisations.
Wiiv's brand identity went through many iterations, each of which was thoroughly evaluated through user testing and other feedback.
The Wiiv product concept itself pivoted from being a portfolio site with a collaborative twist (pictured) to the cloud service integration proposition you see today.
