Discotexas
Discotexas is music label from Lisbon. With more than 10 years of existence, it became an icon of Portuguese electronic music without ever having an official brand identity. People recognise Discotexas and its ethos — It's already familiar. But the visual identity part of their brand lacked a system, a logo, an intentional concept. There was also a need to disconnect the label from the "Disco" category, reducing the name to "DTX".
Discotexas is born out of electronic dance music scene and the DIY culture. This is an environment that stimulates self expression, and it's deeply connected to our emotions and our desires. Discotexas visual identity tries to translate visually, the idea of an ever changing unique space through which the options for expression can be infinite. 
Part of the identity process was to develop a visual system for the label releases that is bold and recognisable. The artwork is typography based and changes with each release.
