I've been asked by Fantini Club in Cervia (Italy) to celebrate its 60th anniversary with a huge painting dealing with beach sports.
The painting will be 3x2.5 meters. The reason that led to this solution instead of painting it on a wall, is to protect the painting that can be disassembled during the winter to preserve it from saltiness and bad weather.
A couple of layers of white outdoor enamel paint is necessary to create a background for the painting.
My brand new enamel paint set.
RAL codes written on the covers in order to avoid work in progress confusion.
A little proof of the paint on paper and we can start working.
I like to prepare my colors on plastic dishes in order to have it ready for the painting.
In the background you can see the drawing that I transferred on the panels
with an orange red marker.
The first half of the job is almost done!
As a reference, I keep a printed layout that I prepared before painting the artwork.
Taking a video on the ladder holding the smartphone with my left hand and painting with the right hand is a little bit difficult! That's why the letter "n" is not so perfect...:)
Thank you for watching!
