Breaking Danger! Basic Road Safety Board Game

Due to the increasing concern for the frequent occurrence of fatal road accidents involving children all around the world for numbers of years, there have been proposals to implement road safety education in schools but to this day, particularly in the Philippines, road safety education is still not a mandatory part of the school curriculum.

This lead the designer to create "Breaking Danger!," a board game made for children as a way to familiarize them with the value of practicing basic road safety for the benefit of themselves and of other people.

In “Breaking Danger!”, 2 to 4 players of ages 7-12 years old, help their chosen school kid who are Ning-Ning, Lukas, Emil and Liway, travel from their home to their school while avoiding all the dangers along the way.

Among the game tiles are Question Tiles, Danger Tiles, and Safety Tiles. By landing
on these tiles, players earn either a Safety Point or a Danger Point. By the time all the players reach the destination, they subtract the sum of their Danger Points from the sum of their Safety Points. The player who has the most amount of Safety Points left from this wins the game.
The colors used were inspired by sorbetes carts
and elaborately decorated jeepneys in the Philippines
