    The concept I have developed for my creative thesis is the branding and design of a community facility where local musicians can practice/play their instrument. Based on the idea of a fitness gym, The Jamnasium would feature supplied instruments and equipment and would run on a membership basis. My reason for this concept was the fact that Sudbury invests in sports and recreation by building arenas and parks but not the city or provincial governments invest in establishing similar spaces for the arts, especially not for musicians. The overall design of the brand is intended to target the desired demographic of 18-45 year old male and female musicians. To attract a younger audience, the look of a vintage hipster-style badge logo was established. The design of the promotional booklet and it’s purpose is to tell the stories of people who actually would want to use a facility like The Jamnasium, each with their own reasons. (wanting to meet other musicians, noise complaints at home, etc...) Read Less
