Introducing Ryan Gallant's First Signature Shoe
ForSpring 2008 DC proudly released Ryan Gallants very first signature shoe.Check out the podcast link below placed on youtube now, for the story on Ryan and his pro shoe.
As withevery DC signature shoe, the design and development process of The Gallant wasleft entirely to the rider. Ryan worked with DC footwear designers to createhis ideal skate shoe using the Manteca, a classic DC model, as a base for hisdesign. Ryan said, I just wanted a plain skate shoe that didnt blow out andthat didnt feel like a thick sock after a day. Ive skated in the Manteca andAvatar, so thats what I talked about when making this shoe then I just wantedeverything thinned outI like a thin shoe.

Ryan went on to help develop Super Suede+™ for use as a durable upper materialon his shoe. The material is an improvement of DCs revolutionary Super Suede™,this version further reinforced to prevent blowouts. About Super Suede+™ Ryannoted, every kickflip feels grippy and on point. Ill kickflip a lot of shoesand the stitching will be all peeled back, then theres the complete blowout[this material] is tough and lasts."
As far ascolors expect a basic black upper / white cupsole combination, a staple colorway for Ryan, as well as a green/black/white combination.

Rounding out the Spring 2008 Ryan Gallant project was a t-shirt with customartwork (which is also featured on the shoes insole), and, because Ryan wearsNew Era caps so much, two signature hats. Ryan is the first DC team rider toget a signature hat and tee.
To launch Ryan's Signature She and Collection, the DC creative Team developed a comprehensive marketing pack across all mediums, working with streetwear and skateboarding Artist David Flores.
