Romania - a country that has a special meaning for me. My parents were born and raised there, but even before my birth, they decided to move to Germany. Although I grew up in Bavaria, I spent the best time of my childhood in the Romanian region of Banat, which still means home to me. Every summer, my parents went back to Romania with me to visit my grandparents and relatives. Bathing in the river Timis, camping at the lake Trei Ape or sleeping in the hayloft - for me, this time was always the highlight of the year. Even today I travel regularly to my grandparents who live in Caransebes and Resita. On my last visit, I looked at her old treasures and memorabilia and came across something interesting: a book full of Romanian fairy tales and stories. Since that day, the stories from the homeland of the vampires have not let me go. Especially with the mystic and dark legends, images immediately grew in my mind - from sinister creatures, devious witches and the mighty devil. As intriguing were those stories with which the Romanians declared the world at that time.
