This is my response to a brief set by Talenthouse and Secret 7" to create artwork for a song by Laura Marling, the song was called 'the Beast'.
After listening at 'The Beast' , I wanted to create a mysterious atmosphere, sort of a stage with strange powers.
I draw this element with his reflections and heavy shadows, maybe showing some beast horns? Each one is reflected in the other like an infinite circle of heavy secrets and unsaid thoughts that will brig this two entities in this troubled connection forever.
This sleeve has been exposed at Mother London on April 13th and 14th, then sold on Record Store Day one week later.
"Secret 7" combines music and art for a good cause. What we do is take seven tracks from seven of the best-known bands and artists around. We press each of those tracks 100 times to vinyl then get creatives from around the world to interpret artwork in their own style for of one of the 7 tracks; resulting in a one-of-a-kind sleeve for every single one. We exhibit, then on Record Store Day you can get your hands on one, or more, for £40 apiece".
