ProTipster was a project I worked on in 2014-2015. It's a platform where you can get sports betting tips from experts, or place your own betting tips to prove your knowledge and earn rewards. With the live data feed you could also keep track of ongoing matches live, as well as see upcoming matches.

It's designed to have a lot of gamification elements, both for people who are looking to get tips for their real-money betting, and for betting enthusiasts to have fun and test their knowledge.

You can see matches which other users posted betting tips for, and filter them by sport, country and league. Matches that are currently live are shown first over the upcoming ones.

Upon clicking a match, you can see all the tips posted for that match, and some additional information regarding the tip's success chance and potential yield. Tips of more succesful users are shown on top.

Depending on their ranking and success rate, some users charge ProTipster Coins to be able to unlock a tip.

While buying a tip, additional information about the poster is displayed, such as; amount of tips posted, total profit made, success rate, total yield, and last 5 resolved tips.

Buying tips gives user the required information to bet real money on this match via bookmakers.

ProTipster Coins are the real-money currency used on the platform. These coins can be used to unlock the tips of more successful and higher ranked users, or to compete in tournaments.

Posting tips use "Stakes" as a resource. Stakes are a free resource all the users get set daily amounts of, and choose to spend when creating betting tips. Stakes represent both the posters investment, and also how confident he/she is in that tip, for people who use these tips to bet their real money on these matches.

Managing and investing stakes wisely allows people to get better results, reach higher ranks and climb up the leaderboards, which in turn makes their tips more valuable for people who are willing to spend ProTipster Coins on them.

You are notified when your tips win, lose or sold to another user, as well as when someone follows you, or someone you follow posted a new tip.

The ProTipster Coins you earn by selling tips are stored in your Wallet and can either be transferred to your account to purchase tips from others, or can be withdrawn for real money profit.

You can view the leaderboards and find people who are experts in any sport, country or league you need.

Their detailed profile allows you to see their active and settled tips, and how they are performing via Statistics tab. You can also choose to follow them to receive a notification when they post new tips.

The platform was designed to be responsive and work on all devices of all sizes.
