Kincső is an actress, choreographer and dancer and she needed a portfolio site. Before the first meeting I shared a Milanote board with her, where we could share information, ideas, content assets and designs.
On the first meeting we clarified goals, target audience, expectations and looked at the resources, images, videos at hand.
I showed her a few actress sites I liked, and we got to know each others taste and preferences.
We agreed to research the needs of the target audience: Casting directors, producers, directors. Her priority was to get noticed and employed by "A" category productions.
The showreel is an important asset for an actor/actress, but during research we realized the need for slateshots, short, 7 second videos with a brief introduction from the actress. We also discovered that the most up to date headshots are expected. She arranged for a photoshoot and video shoot for professional content.
After the photoshoot I started to experiment with colours, backgrounds and fonts that would match the style of the images. Based on Kincső's feedback we settled with the dark, blue version and a simple, but elegant serif font with curvy, translucent initials in the background. (version 3 below)
After her feedback I started to work on the final design:
The "Slateshots" menu utilized all the videos and images of her casual appearance as well as 6 distinct characters.
