A branding project for Klebang town

Klebang is a coastal town in Malacca, Malaysia. It is located along the Malacca Strait. There is a place called Pantai Klebang and it’s the famous place in Klebang. Pantai Klebang attracts a lot of tourist. Klebang Original Coconut Milkshake is the famous cooling drinks in Malacca. Klebang Other than that, there’s also some tourist attraction like Submarine museum and 1 Malaysia Square.

Recently there’s a hidden gem called the Sand Dunes that attract local resident and also tourist attention. It’s a perfect spot to take awesome picture and also perfect to watch the sunrise or sunset from a secluded area. From this attractions we can see that there’s a bright future and opportunities if we brand this town nicely. It would be one of the most value able attractions to visit.

The concept of the logo

Klebang is one of a well-known town in Malacca. The main attraction is the desert and the beach. The distance between the beach and desert is close to each other. There is no place like Klebag. In Klebang you can find beach and desert at once. In order to create a relevant logo for Klebang, sea wave and desert was selected as the main element in this logo. Similarity, tourist who visit to Klebang will be able to have a chance enjoy two attractions in the same time.

The top of the logo is a wave that represent the beach at Klebang. Whereas the sand dune represented the desert. As you can see the typeface was self-drawn and in free-form. The typeface had been selected to be welcoming, relaxing and soft. Hand lettering is the best typeface to bring out the feelings in this logo. Besides that, instead of using variety color we choose only one main color that is Sky blue for Klebang’s logo to keep it simple and nice. Sky blue create calmness and also relaxing feel that suit a vacation feeling.
