Artist statement: “When we enjoy nature in an unsustainable and irresponsible way, we are damaging the very object of wonder. Fleeting tourists, unregulated snorkeling trips, cruise ship traffic and all that surrounds these problems is drowning humankind into a colorless and lifeless void of bleached coral and a kind of destruction we have no chance to revert.

We must ACT NOW. There is no other future chance; this is not a warning about an impending disaster, it’s just the right instant before we fall off the cliff, and there will be no going back. Educate, listen, share what you know, take things personally and seriously. It’s about our communal Home we are talking about and the time is NOW."

La manera en la que consumimos plásticos de un solo uso, combustibles, agua, etc nos ha llevado a un punto crítico en la existencia de nuestra especie. Hacer un cambio puede parecer complicado, incómodo e incluso muchas veces sentimos que los cambios que podemos hacer a nivel personal no son lo suficientemente importantes para revertir el daño que hemos hecho. Sin embargo, no tenemos otra oportunidad de intentar cambiar las cosas, estamos al límite de la auto-destrucción y cada cambio que hagamos en nuestro estilo de vida y cada pequeño cambio que le exijamos a nuestros seres queridos hace la diferencia, no es una idea utópica ni una invitación a cambiar, esto es una emergencia y si no actuamos acorde a la situación no va a haber una segunda oportunidad.
