2010 TRAGEDY IN MADEIRA

during the night, it rained a lot without a single break ...
In the morning, in the city of Funchal, the streams were completely full of water and rock, coming from the mountains.
The people who went there feared the worst, as the rain showed no signs of slowing down, and so continued, the streams could overflow and cause severe damage to the city, and put people's lives at risk.
And it happened, the streams came with incredible strength, brought everything in front of him, destroying houses, cars, roads .... and worse, taking the lives of numerous people.
It was a calamity, the downtown area of the city was completely destroyed .... as well as the uplands because there had been landslides.
Today, the city is all rebuilt, people's lives back to normal, and measures were taken to prevent this from happening again, hopefully ...
