TrusS//live generated motion graphics
This R&D was done using Notch motion graphics software, it is incorporating various workflows and tools that this software offers.
Idea here was to make a patch that would correspond with physical lights, so LD could take over pan, tilt, strobe, brightness of the lights in this patch and control it via Lighting Desk together with the actual/physical lights in the stage truss.
For this patch to work with Lighting console all chosen parameters has to be exposed and sent out as DMX signal. That can be done via ArtNET.
Notch supports direct out via ArtNET or you can do parameter exposing via supported media server of your choice and rout the signal to DMX there. (DMX signal via artNET is not hooked up in this sample)
The very rig is simple, it is all based on Cloned truss mesh, and that very mesh is deformed with Mirror deformer - One of the new favorites! :)
Lights are randomly switching via Select Child node, and the Select Child node is driven by math modifier set to random noise and it's scale corresponds to number of lights under select child node.
Please use this patch irresponsibly and beam me a photo/video if you do! :)
