Over the years, the city of Innsbruck has been known for its mountains and the river that crosses the city. Although there are many ways to reach these mountains, access to the river remains a taboo subject. That is why our project, guided by the needs and interests of the inhabitants, focuses on bringing the city to the river. Committed to increasing the visibility and connectivity of the river, a future redevelopment is proposed within the scale of the project. This redevelopment will focus on various strategies to organize and
accommodate all new activities that will be developed in areas adjacent to the river
to reactivate them. We propose the design of multiple systems that connect the main enclosures and programs with the areas adjoining the river. In addition, we take another step and look for connections beyond the river. So our design has homes and public areas that are floating above the water, giving a new perspective on the concept of ‘livinig on the river’. Taking into account a comprehensive vision of the entire project, our design seeks to be innovative and create a new sustainable strategy that combines architecture and
