This was a university project set to us by the great design studio, Brandopus. To rebrand and repackage Butterkist we decided to go down the route of domesticating the film experience. Alongside an app that suggests what film and drink to watch and eat, the packaging was aimed at reviving the almost nostalgic memory every one has of the cinema attendee ripping your ticket. The microwave packaging (2nd image) used the already in place format of three connected packets and used this to its advantage to turn them into a ticket line, that you have to rip your 'ticket' off of, to get your popcorn popping.
