ISTD 2019 - Lost Voices
Brief - Lost
Awarded merit and membership into the society

My typographic publication, 'Lost Voices' focuses around the theme of freedom of speech and 'lost' journalists whose lives have been taken due to the reports they have written.

The piece explores the meaning of freedom in different countries and their relationship with the press. Since 1992, when they started recording deaths, 1340 journalists have died due to their job. Freedom and freedom of speech is a privilege and a free press is vital for a working democracy.

Lost Voices maintains a journalistic aesthetic throughout, with newspaper details of print marks on every page and it is contained in a paper folder. The binding is with metal fastenings, which were used before ring binging folders.
