Rug Design: Fern

Fern was designed for an exhibition at the NEC Birmingham in March 2012. It is based on a fractals theme I was exploring and combined a love of circles and layering.

It was hand-tufted in Scotland using wool and bamboo silk and have a lovely luxurious feel.

Fern uses wonderfully warm colours and the soft cream adds a good contrast. The bamboo silk has a lovely soft sheen and gorgeous to touch.
