The challenge is to create 3 slightly different images, all using the simple props from my masterpiece remake project.

Either make it:

-straightforward

-stylistic

-abstract

I have gone down the route of making it quite stylistic and contempory, as I struggled to think of an idea to make it abstract or keep it quite straightforward. I played around with the pocket watches and layed them at different angles-open and closed- on the green cloth. The cloth I firstly layed flat and arranged the watches and then I decided to change that by scrunching the cloth up to make it look quite fancy and modern.

 

Lights - Couple of spotlights, not shining directly at the face of the watch as to not get the reflection of the lamp in the face.

 

Camera – Nikon D40

 

Action – took about an hour in total to set up all the equipment and lighting and to take the shots. And also including to pack everything up and put it all away.
