This is one of my favorite projects I've worked on, especially among those I've done since graduating. This is a fictitious brand I created, a coffee shop called Gothicup. I made it using Adobe Illustrator for the logo mark, Adobe InDesign for the mood board, and Adobe Photoshop for the mockup. I utilized free images from unsplash.com for the inspiration and textures, and a free photoshop mockup template from graphicburger.com.

The logo consists of a portrait of a gothic individual combined with a coffee mug. This was my solution to the problem of "how do I make a coffee mug logo unique?" So many coffee shop logos have a coffee mug, and I had a hard time deviating from that age old staple of coffee shop branding. I think the face inside the mug gives it some character and personality beyond the average mug, and I stand by the concept. The logo type is Helvetica Bold, a strong neutral typeface to work with. I didn't want anything too fancy, so I utilized Helvetica. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
