After the unveil of Apple's Display XDR alongside other examples demonstrated by other companies, I was pleasantly surprised by modern choice of wallpapers and display designs: most of them looked quite unusual
Not specifically "typical" visuals from composition and color choices point of view.
Tech brands now don't shy away from using black color for their devices as it allows them to
demonstrate the wide color gamut and high contrast ratio.
In addition to that, the "unconventional" approach in wallpaper design creates
an otherworldly sensation when looking at these devices.
The colors are harmonious and overall it is pleasant to look at, however theres "something" that you cannot
put your finger on: something that stays with you and that makes the device stand out in the crowd.
In my new Megtör series I have tried to pursue this visual feeling of something different, something
unconventional and otherworldly, perhaps slightly unsettling, designed for the big screens and PRO devices.
It was definitely a learning curve for me, as some of my design principles and approaches had to abandoned.
