Reinventing Extinct Fiction through Design
The comic book along with it Launch campaign
formed the crux of my Thesis project i did for my Communication Design Major a few months back.
The comic was based on an extinct Urdu( my mother tongue/The language spoken in Pakistan) Detective Digest, Known as IMRAN SERIES by Ibn eSafi.
The Motion Trailer for the Comic Book itself.
Art Direction by me.
Music and Anmation Talha Muftee.

The Tag Line "Sherlock Kaun?!"
roughly translated to "Sherlock Who?!" was a pun
on the local market who while being very well aware of Detective Fiction
such as the Sherlock Holmes series are generally lacking the
knowledge of their own local heroes and Mythos!
The digest had been a huge pop culture item
back in its hey days in the 60's and the 70's but later on lost its throne due to the demise of the
Author and fall of the digest / reading culture of the country.

I came up with the character based on the orignal line up from the first story plus a 24 Page first issue, Trading Cards based on the characters, Campaign Posters along with a teaser and last but not least an animated trailer for the launch of the Comic itself.
