Peace in our Time?
The DemocracyVillage, was vilified in many of the national papers in the UK, a theme thatwas echoed on TV and radio. Unfortunately, the village attracted people whodid more harm than good to the cause by their actions and when the media showedup they got the reaction they wanted.
However, most ofthe demonstrators, those that stayed to the end were and are committed totrying to resolve said conflicts mentioned above by peaceful means. They feelstrongly about this so strongly that they have given up their lives to achieve this,as they believe that through passive protest they will make their point, hey if Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi could do it why couldn't a group of dedicated people from all walks of life do the same?
