"The Mask Project" served as an opportunity to study and illustrate a series of masks from across the world. Using black permanent ink as a base, I generated silhouettes and sculpted them into forms through the application of copper-colored ink. The aim was to enforce the use of line, shape, and pattern in order to formulate perceivable depth. My fascination with the subject matter drove this project, creating a unified visual outcome of culturally diverse masks. The illustrations were crafted on 11X14 inch sheets, each sheet showcasing an individual mask.
