"Data boxes" logo concept
There was an open call for the new logo of Data boxes (Datové schránky in Czech) called by Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic. As the ministry uses more of its own services, I decided to make a whole new concept of logos for it. Those services include electronic ID, electronic Identity and the Data boxes service that is used by citizens and primarily businessmen of the Czech Republic to upload their contracts, agreements and other legals for the government.
The Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic already has a logo made of M and V shape (Ministerstvo Vnitra in Czech) that I used as a grid of points, where I can delete or add some of them in order to find a symbol matching particular services. For example, the M shape was a perfect one for making an envelope of it. In the other two cases, I have made an ID card and two faces looking at each other.
This system of grid and points is widely open for other new services that are now preparing by the Ministry of the Interior.
Here you can find the pages from the document that was officially sent to the competition.
Unfortunately for me, the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic decided for a different proposal made by another Czech student. I would like to congratulate to him this way! If you would like to see the winning logo design, visit www.mojedatovaschranka.cz and see for yourself.
